Create a studio to become its head teacher.
Batches can use this makeup policy or their own. New fees save a copy of the policy and rules for families to review.
Give each batch its own identity, level, and space to learn.

Requests for this batch
Choose the child’s existing roster record for each request—even if the family uses a first name, middle name, or nickname. Approve both parents against the same child. Do not create a second student record just because another parent joins. Verify unfamiliar names with the family before approving.
A thoughtful record of every learner.
Create one roster record per child in each batch. Both parents and the child’s optional login connect to this record.

Write or update teacher terms
Published terms
Current acknowledgements
Signed records & previous versionsHow agreements work
The head teacher writes the terms and chooses who must acknowledge them. Studio terms and batch-specific terms may both apply. Publishing creates a new version and keeps signed copies of previous versions. Parents and applicable student accounts acknowledge the current terms before requesting to join; the teacher cannot approve access until the current versions are signed. Existing families are asked to review new versions when they return to the portal. A typed name and an explicit electronic-signature acknowledgement are recorded with the account, date, and exact document version.
Payment methodsCreate a charge
About payments
RAANI records fees and payment confirmations. PayPal opens outside RAANI, and Zelle payments are made through your bank. Cash and checks are handed to the teacher. Reporting a payment does not mark it paid; the head teacher confirms receipt. Bank and payment-provider fees or eligibility requirements may apply. Always verify the recipient and amount before paying.
A dated record of what you learned, and where to go next.
Write a class summaryAbout the class journal
Summaries are shared with approved families in the batch. Students see them when student access is enabled. Assistants can publish when the head teacher grants messaging permission; they can edit their own entries. Use Create homework beside practice notes to add a due date on the shared calendar. AI drafts use the same shared allowance and remain editable before publication.
Choose the batches and tools each assistant can use.
Assign assistant accessHow assistant access works
Assign the exact email your assistant uses to sign in. They can create their own account with that email and confirm it, then refresh RAANI. No invitation email is sent. Add one assignment per batch. Every assigned assistant can view that batch’s calendar; messaging, attendance and AI depend on your choices. AI requires messaging permission. Assistants collectively can use up to 10% of the shared daily AI allowance; unused capacity stays available to the head teacher. Studio settings, student changes, family approvals and payment setup remain with the head teacher.
Clear assignments, shared due dates, and space to grow.
Create homeworkAbout homework
Assignments appear here and on the batch’s calendar. Parents can guide younger children without a student login. Student access remains the head teacher’s choice. Assistants with messaging permission can publish and edit their own assignments. A past due date does not indicate whether a student completed the work. Calendar exports are copies; export again after changes.
Classes, homework deadlines, and extra sessions in one shared calendar.
This month
Recurring classes & term dates
Set a start and end date for each teaching term. Add separate schedules for different weekdays. Classes stop at the term end.
Extra sessions & one-time classes
An extra session can be scheduled on a school closure date. It is an explicit exception to the recurring schedule.
Makeup classesSchool calendar & no-class dates
Use these dates only for schedules with “Follow school closure dates” checked. Institutes that teach during school breaks can leave it unchecked.
ICS: all-day closure events without recurrence rules. CSV: date, label (YYYY-MM-DD). Review the dates below; remove school events that aren’t closures. For a PDF or image calendar, enter the closure dates here.
Cancelled class dates
Calendar help & export instructions
Makeup sessions may be shared with the whole batch or only the selected student’s linked family. Cancelling a date stops recurring classes for that batch on that date. Restore it below if plans change. Removing a makeup event does not restore its original class automatically.
Exports include all loaded terms and events, not just the displayed month. Import the file into Apple Calendar or Google Calendar. Changes made later require a new export.
How to add this to Apple or Google Calendar
Open the .ics file with your calendar app if your device supports it. Google’s bulk calendar-file import is available through its desktop website. On phones, use Add to Google Calendar beside an event instead. Consider using a separate RAANI calendar to keep class events together.
Audio, videos, and practice documents for your classroom.
Filters & sort
Add a practice linkUpload videos without filling RAANI’s storage
Upload the audio or video to your own Google Drive, or another service you already use.
Share the file with the teacher or intended viewers using that service’s permissions.
Copy its HTTPS sharing link and add it here.
RAANI stores the title, notes, and link; the file stays with its original storage provider. Deleting the RAANI link does not delete the file. Your storage provider’s sharing permissions still control whether someone can open it.
When family submissions are enabled, a parent or enabled student account can submit a link for their own student. Submissions stay with that student’s linked family and authorized teachers, including after approval. A teacher’s whole-batch resources are visible to approved families in that batch.
A quick guide to using RAANI on your phone or computer.
Install RAANI
Keep your classroom on your home screen.
iPhone / iPad: open RAANI in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.
Android: open RAANI in Chrome and choose Install app or Add to Home screen from the browser menu.
Computer: look for the install icon in your browser’s address bar, when available.
Signing in and viewing current class records needs an internet connection.

Calendars & resources
Use Calendar for classes, deadlines, extra sessions, and makeups. Open a class to use its online meeting link.
Download an .ics file for Apple or another calendar app, or use Add to Google Calendar. These are copies; export again after schedule changes.
Teachers can paste HTTPS links to audio, videos, and documents in messages, homework, and class notes. Open Classroom → Practice resources to organize links. Families can submit when the head teacher enables it.
Your account
Use My profile to update your name and student details. Account type is kept as selected at signup; teacher and assistant access is granted separately by the studio.
Forgot an email password? Sign out and use Forgot your password on the login screen. Google accounts use Google sign-in.
On a shared device, sign out when you finish.
AI writing help
Teachers can open the Writing assistant inside batch messages. Assistants can use it only when the head teacher grants permission.
Use general batch notes and your preferred classical terms. Review the result before sending; drafts are never sent automatically.
Keep private student, family, and payment information out of AI prompts.
